Welcome to Fjällhornet Hotel & Resort in the mountains of Ljungdalen
Fjällhornet Hotel & Resort is located close to the Helag massif in the mountains of Ljungdalen. A pristine natural world is waiting just outside the door – an ideal starting point for fell walking in the summer and skiing in the winter. A great place for fishing, berrying and mushroom scavenging. Our cosy self-catering cottages and sauna lie in the heart of this mountain world.
We can offer nine self-catering cottages, three of them equipped with shower. All of them have a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with bunk beds and two extra places on a sofa bed in the living room. Björnen is a larger cottage with 8 beds in four bedrooms/sleeping alcoves. Björnen is also equipped with a washing machine and tumble drier. All cottages have a living-flame stove.
Our guests have free access to the separate sauna facility and its showers.
Fjällhornet Hotel & Resort is an excellent choice for groups and companies who want to hold a conference or any other form of event where they can spend time without distractions, and use the untamed natural world as an alternative conference room. Book Fjällhornet Hotel & Resort in its entirety to dispose over its nine cottages, sauna facility with showers, and common room with associated kitchen. The common room enables you to gather the complete group for conference activities and meals. These surroundings stimulate new energy and creativity that you probably cannot obtain anywhere else.
Activities and excursions
Fjällhornet is the starting point for many pathways and trails, in both summer and winter. Many of our guests undertake a one-day excursion to the Helag mountain station. You can either ski there and back, a total distance of 24 km, or you can arrange outwards transport on snowmobile for you and the skis with our site manager, for a small fee, and then ski backt.
The mountains of Ljungdalen with their many lakes, tarns and watercourses, are a true El Dorado for anglers. You can try your hand at fly-fishing during the summer. And during the winter, take a drill out onto the ice and drill a hole to take char, grayling and trout.
There are many opportunities to see and experience rich animal life at close quarters. Bird life abounds, as do also elks, reindeer, mountain hares and weasels. We can also tempt you with a bear hibernation safari, or a beaver safari.
